It’s only January 2nd, so let’s hope everyone is still on task with their New Year’s resolutions. I want to invite you to join the 100 day fitness challenge. What exactly is that you ask? Well, it’s exactly what it sounds like – 100 days of exercising for half an hour each day. The challenge was created by some of the members at the Canadian Academy of Sports and Exercise Medicine (CASEM), but I would like to invite other people to join as well. The challenge runs from January 1st until April 10th (I apologize for posting this January 2nd). The way we are doing it at CASEM is as follows: $10 to join and you contribute an additional $1 every day that you don’t do your required amount of exercise. The money collected at the end is donated to a charity of CASEM’s choice. Feel free to participate and send me your money to send in to CASEM at the end of the 100 days, or do it on your own or with coworkers just for fun. Exercise can be anything from yoga to swimming to cycling to fast paced walking – anything that gets your heart rate up!

Just remember, exercise is medicine!
